Stakeholder Engagement

Service users, carers and families are those most directly affected by the mental health environment. As such, the Network actively encourages them to become involved in improving the design of facilities. Their expert feedback is vital in helping care professionals and providers understand the impact of both good and poor design. The Stakeholder group is much wider than Service Users and Carers however, and should include the dedicated staff teams that work in and maintain mental health environments. Our work stream aims to ensure that all stakeholders are able to meaningfully engage in co-production of design projects, and will encourage service providers to involve staff, service users and carers in all stages of design, in a relaxed and supportive setting.
