Safeguarding Policy

Any person undertaking activity by or on behalf of the Design in Mental Health Network (DIMHN) must protect DIMHN’s beneficiaries, officers, staff, volunteers and any person connected with the activity from harm.

This includes, but is not limited to, the statutory responsibility towards children below the age of 18 and vulnerable adults aged 18 and over. The DIMHN board will manage this in accordance with the Charity Commission’s 2017 policy paper ‘Strategy for dealing with safeguarding issues in charities’ as updated.

Any board member may be approached by any person to raise a concern, issue or complaint, and must act to ensure the situation is made safe, reported on and followed up. The named Safeguarding Lead is the current chair of the board who is Jenny Gill and may be contacted at jgill@dimhn.org
